The good news about following Jesus is that He has a plan for us!
I have known people who are always trying to get you to follow them. They may have born leadership skills they are trying to display, but for whatever reason, they just want some followers. Sometimes these people can spell trouble for you if you choose to follow. Most of the time they don’t even have a plan. They just want someone on their team.
Jesus isn’t calling people to follow Him for no reason. Since the beginning of the church, God has been using people to do His work here on earth. God uses people to tell the good news, to minister to the broken-hearted, and to deliver His love in tangible ways. That is one of the primary functions of the church.
When you get to the point in your life where you are willing to surrender your life fully to Christ, rest assured He already has work for you to do. You’ll enjoy following Jesus!
Dear Lord, help us to follow You, so that You use us for Your glory in Your Kingdom!
