I may not see in front of me, But I can see for miles around when I look over my shoulder, and Lord, it`s clear. You`ve brought me here, So faithful every step of the way. What can I do but follow you, For You are the Way, the Truth, the Life, And You`ve promised never to leave me, My Savior, my friend, From beginning to end.

I Am Found In You by Steven Curtis Chapman

She has no fear of winter for her household because all of them have warm clothes. Proverbs 31:21 NLT

I’m not saying this is your story, but sometimes when we are afraid in life it is because of something we brought on ourselves. If you are living in sin, fear will be more prevalent in your life, for example.

The Proverbs 31 woman wasn’t afraid for her family when winter came, because she had prepared for the changing temperatures. If you are failing to make necessary preparations for life, you will be stricken with fear when sudden changes in life come.

God wants to remove fear from our life. His goal for us is that we “not be afraid”. In fact, it’s the number one command in God’s Word. God promises His strength to help us with the fearful times of life. He wants to protect us. You and I, however, have a responsibility to live our lives with a structure that keeps us spiritually disciplined. As we walk in obedience to God we will have less to fear, because we will be attuned to God’s glory, His strength and His grace. It is that knowledge and assurance that will keep us from fear.
