I may not see in front of me, But I can see for miles around when I look over my shoulder, and Lord, it`s clear. You`ve brought me here, So faithful every step of the way. What can I do but follow you, For You are the Way, the Truth, the Life, And You`ve promised never to leave me, My Savior, my friend, From beginning to end.

I Am Found In You by Steven Curtis Chapman
Finding People, Part 1
By: Ron Edmondson Monday, February 16, 2004
The next day Jesus decided to leave for Galilee. Finding Philip, He said to him, "Follow Me." John 1:43 NIV

There are two important principles in today’s Scripture verse that I want to consider. First, Jesus found Philip. Philip didn’t have to go looking for salvation; the Savior found him. Praise God that you don’t have to go looking for Jesus. When you are ready to surrender your problems, your burdens, and your life to Jesus, He is already there, ready to be found. Jesus stands at the door and knocks on the hearts of man.

Second, Jesus’ request of Philip was simple. Jesus simply told Philip to “follow Me”. Jesus didn’t require Philip to clean up his life. He didn’t ask for Philip’s denominational status. Jesus didn’t tell Philip that He needed to see his resume, or check Philip’s heritage. The same is true for you today. Jesus doesn’t require anything more difficult of you than that you follow Him.

When you are struggling to find your way in life, you need to look no further than the person of Jesus Christ. When you need to know how to cope with the stress of life; follow Jesus. When you need help with your health problem; follow Jesus. When your marriage is falling apart; follow Jesus. When you are trying to make a decision; follow Jesus for the answer. Follow Jesus. Keep your eyes on Jesus and life will make more sense.

Tell your friends about this ministry. Why not forward a copy of the email to those you think might benefit from reading a Mustard Seed? Some churches use it as a supplement to their discipleship program. Perhaps your church would be interested in doing this. All I ask is that credit be given to the ministry.
