I may not see in front of me, But I can see for miles around when I look over my shoulder, and Lord, it`s clear. You`ve brought me here, So faithful every step of the way. What can I do but follow you, For You are the Way, the Truth, the Life, And You`ve promised never to leave me, My Savior, my friend, From beginning to end.
I Am Found In You

the Lord turn His face towards you and give you peace. Numbers 6:26 NIV
"Okay, boys! That's enough!"
Our six and nine year old boys are just that...BOYS! And, they are all boy, too!
Sometimes, when they are full of energy (which is pretty much all the time), they can wear you out with their constant motion. Wrestling, basketball, baseball, wrestling, football, soccer, wrestling...and this is just in the house! Wait until Spring comes!
My role is to administer peace to the household (yea right). I come home from work and it is my job to say, "Okay boys, time to calm down." or "Let's keep it down just a little.". I am to be the calmer of the storm.
Often times I have to call for peace several times in one night. Last week I was on the telephone and the boys decided it was time for a rematch between the Chicago Bulls and the Charlotte Hornets. I was trying to not interupt the phone call, but they kept getting louder. Finally, as I turned around, with "that look" on my face (you know "that look" don't you?), the boys froze. They knew I meant business! Peace had finally come to our home! (And it lasted almost three minutes, too!)
Thankfully our God is a better administer of peace. When He turns His face toward us there is ultimate peace. In Him there is no conflict, no pain and suffering, no bitterness or strife, no worry or heartache. In Him is everlasting hope, eternal joy, abundant love and grace. In Him is peace; peace that transcends all our understanding.
The storms and trials of life are no match for our God, regardless of their energy level or persistence.
God is ready and willing to turn His face towards you...and give you peace if you will simply call upon His name.
May the God of the universe, the God of all Creation, the One and Only True, Living God....grant you peace today!
