I may not see in front of me, But I can see for miles around when I look over my shoulder, and Lord, it`s clear. You`ve brought me here, So faithful every step of the way. What can I do but follow you, For You are the Way, the Truth, the Life, And You`ve promised never to leave me, My Savior, my friend, From beginning to end.

I Am Found In You by Steven Curtis Chapman
Everlasting Light
By: Ron Edmondson Tuesday, April 27, 1999
The sun will no more be your light by day, nor will the brightness of the moon shine on you, for the Lord will be your everlasting light, and your God will be your glory. Isaiah 60:19 NIV

We had a light rain this morning and then the most gorgeous sunshine peaked through the clouds. Everywhere I walked on the city streets, people commented on how beautiful the sun was shining. It is almost hard to believe that one day it will shine no more!

When we get to Gloryland, you and I will no longer need the sun. Our light will come from God's glory. The rays of light I experienced from the sky today will seem as dark as midnight when compared to His greatness. He will light up every dark spot in our lives, revealing only the best life has to offer.

God's glory cannot be contained in our world today. Oh, I will admit, I see a glimmer of His glory with every ounce of His creation. I confess that a softly lit night where the moon and stars brighten up the sky is evidence of His mighty hand. I know that the delicacies and destinction of bright colors in a butterfly point to the awesomeness of the Designer. It is obvious that God was at work when you touch the tiny hands of a newborn baby and realize that one day they may sculpt a masterpiece of their own.

But, still, we only get a small portion of what is to come. With that in mind, can you even fathom the full extent of receiving ALL His glory?

No wonder Moses had to hide his face. We just can't comprehend the glory of God!
