I may not see in front of me, But I can see for miles around when I look over my shoulder, and Lord, it`s clear. You`ve brought me here, So faithful every step of the way. What can I do but follow you, For You are the Way, the Truth, the Life, And You`ve promised never to leave me, My Savior, my friend, From beginning to end.

I Am Found In You by Steven Curtis Chapman
Do to others...
By: Ron Edmondson Thursday, March 25, 1999
Do to others as you would have them do to you. Luke 6:31 NIV

I'm a big advocate for memorizing scripture. It's the best way to hide God's word into your heart! Think you can remember this one?

How about putting into practice? Think you can do that, too?

It really is a pretty simple rule to follow. Before you make a major decision, especially one that affects others, consider how you would like to be treated first. Would what your fixing to do, fit within that idea?

When you go to a restaurant, and the waitress forgets what you ordered, do you fail to leave a tip, or do you remember how you like to be treated when you forget something? When your at a red light, and the guy in front of you doesn't move at the first sight of green, do you lay on your horn, or do you reflect back on the last time your daydream kept you at the light for a while?

When responding to your spouse, or your children, when they didn't hear what you said the first time, and your having to repeat it for the third time, do you YELL IT BACK AT THEM BECAUSE THEY SHOULD CLEAN OUT THEIR EARS? Or, do you recall that just yesterday you asked someone at work to repeat something they said, because you had a hard time making it out?

Jesus teaching really did give us some very practical advice for living. Follow it, and quite often you will begin to see some positive changes in the attitudes and actions of those around you.

If we will begin to treat others the way we want to be treated, we'll most likely be surprised by how pleasant life can be! Let's start at home today and give it a try!
