I may not see in front of me, But I can see for miles around when I look over my shoulder, and Lord, it`s clear. You`ve brought me here, So faithful every step of the way. What can I do but follow you, For You are the Way, the Truth, the Life, And You`ve promised never to leave me, My Savior, my friend, From beginning to end.
I Am Found In You

Then maidens will dance and be glad, young men and old as well. I will turn their mourning into gladness; I will give them comfort and joy instead of sorrow. Jeremiah 31:13 NIV
One day it will all be over! One day Jesus will return! One day the final comfort will be given! If you are like me, you are looking forward to that day.
For the six years that I have written Mustard Seeds I have learned one thing for sure. People are hurting. The pain comes in many different forms; some suffer from health problems, some from relationship problems, other from financial stress, others from simply being overwhelmed with multiple problems, but the affect is the same. People often are left feeling helpless. That is usually the state they are in when I encounter them. I get very few emails from people with no problems. The people I hear from are usually in pain.
My plan to help them is usually the same. I try to point them back to Jesus. He is the final answer to the problems each of us face in life today. I would love to tell them that I can take the problems away, or better yet, that Jesus will, but that wouldn’t necessarily be true. We aren’t living in the days of intervention, we are living in the days of grace. Jesus doesn’t promise to take away all our problems, at least not today, but He does promise that His grace will be sufficient.
One day, perhaps very soon, the day of grace will be over, and the day of intervention will begin. Jesus will intervene in our problems and right every wrong. God will wipe every tear from our eyes and there will be no more crying and no more pain. The day of final comfort will come one day. Until that day, in the midst of the trials of life, you and I must learn to live by faith and not by sight. We must accept the comfort of God supplied by His mercy and grace. We must trust that He has a plan, that He is working all things for good, and that He is coming again one day to make everything right!
Dear God, comfort us with your love today!
