I may not see in front of me, But I can see for miles around when I look over my shoulder, and Lord, it`s clear. You`ve brought me here, So faithful every step of the way. What can I do but follow you, For You are the Way, the Truth, the Life, And You`ve promised never to leave me, My Savior, my friend, From beginning to end.
I Am Found In You

For He chose us in Him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in His sight. Ephesians 1:4 NIV
As I begin a Mustard Seed with this verse, automatically I know I am entering territory I don’t completely understand. One of my favorite verses is Proverbs 25:2, because it gives me an excuse when I don’t fully understand something about God (I find myself quoting it a lot.). Proverbs 25:2: “It is the glory of God to conceal a matter. To search it out is the glory of kings.”
How can God know what I would become and yet allow me to make choices for myself in life? Do you want my honest answer? Proverbs 25:2! That’s it. I can’t understand it all, but God does. The Bible says it is so, and so it is true!
The Bible says that before the earth was created, God knew you. It also says that His thoughts about you cannot be numbered. So, when God created this world (in six literal days), He was thinking about you. He had planned for you to have an opportunity to come to know Him through His Son, Jesus Christ.
God had also planned, once you have a relationship with Him, to mold you into the image of His Son. He chose you to be holy and blameless. Are you there yet? Well, I must admit, neither am I. What I do know, however, is that I am on the path. I can see how God has changed my life to look more like Christ over the years. I can’t believe I did some of the things I used to do, and I’m sure in years to come I will not be able to believe I did the things I am doing now. The closer I grow to Christ, the more I look like Christ. (Please, know that I’m not there yet…my family would agree!)
You don’t have to fully understand it, because God is God and you aren’t. Just know that, if you are God’s child, and if you are abiding in Him (you can’t skip that part), He is molding you. Oh, you may not feel it right now, but others can see it in you. Why don’t you ask them?
