If you have personally believed in the name of Jesus as your Savior; theonly way to get to Heaven, then I have some good news.....actually greatnews....for you today: YOU ARE A CHILD OF GOD! You are born of theKing; bought with a price; planned for and provided for in the perfectwill of God before the creation of time! You have reason to rejoice! Amen!
But, don't mistake the last part of that passage. Don't overlook thefact that your salvation was not something you planned. It was not somesuper idea you had one day. It was not a matter of you and I suddenlydeciding that we want to join in on the Gloryland Express, and so wequickly get our ticket punched.
The point is simply this: You and I did nothing for salvation. Oh,don't get me wrong, there is a choice to be made, and God certainly gaveus the ability to choose or reject Him. But, you and I played no part inactually "saving" ourselves. No works, no miracles, no reaching down topull us out of our own sin trap.
When it comes to salvation, there is really no question, it's all God!Period! God chose us! God sent Jesus! God sentenced Jesus to death onthe Cross as payment for our sins! God accepted Jesus' death as theperfect sacrifice! God calls us! God accepts our plea for forgiveness!God saves!
Make no mistake about it! Salvation comes from theLord!
