I may not see in front of me, But I can see for miles around when I look over my shoulder, and Lord, it`s clear. You`ve brought me here, So faithful every step of the way. What can I do but follow you, For You are the Way, the Truth, the Life, And You`ve promised never to leave me, My Savior, my friend, From beginning to end.
I Am Found In You

"If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to save us from it, and He will rescue us from your hand, O king. But even if He does not, we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up." Daniel 3:17-18 NIV
So there! Take that! Any more questions?
You know the story. Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego refused to bow down to the image King Nebuchadnezzar had set up before them. Unlike many of the other Hebrew boys, here was three faithful followers of God. And, yes, they knew the difference between the one and only big "G" God and all the other imitation little "g" gods. No fooling these guys.
They flat out refused! Now, I know they weren't exactly politically correct about it. They didn't choose their words all that carefully. They simply pointed out that they could not worship this king's silly gold statue, because they had a higher calling. In fact, let me ask you: can you, in your wildest imagination, knowing what you know about God, even think of comparing Him to a gold figurine? Neither could they.
What about you? You agree He is God (big G). You agree that there is no room for comparison. You agree that there is nothing that should come between you and God. You agree that He is worthy of all your admiration. You agree that you should stand up for Him, even when it is not the popular thing to do. So, what is your practice?
You know God is able to save you from any persecution you accept in His name, but if not..........
You see, my friend, the real truth of your Christian commitment will be answered by finishing that one statement. Fill in the blank:
But, if not _____________________________!
Is He pleased?
