I may not see in front of me, But I can see for miles around when I look over my shoulder, and Lord, it`s clear. You`ve brought me here, So faithful every step of the way. What can I do but follow you, For You are the Way, the Truth, the Life, And You`ve promised never to leave me, My Savior, my friend, From beginning to end.
I Am Found In You

Christ is the head of the church, which is his body. Colossians 1:18 NLT
I meet people often who say they have been “hurt by the church”. I used to think I was one of those people. One day as I was ministering to one of these broken people I gained a new insight. Here was my reply:
“You have not been hurt by the church. The church is the body of Christ and Christ would never hurt His own body. You have been hurt by some people who did a poor job representing the church.”
On behalf of the body of Christ, I apologize if you have ever been made to feel unwelcome, unlovely, or unreachable by someone claiming to represent Christ’s church. God loves you. God’s approach is always one of love. It is the “kindness of God that leads to repentance.” If you are a believer, you will never face condemnation. (Romans 8:1) Even if you are an unbeliever, we are living in the days of grace. God will not treat you unkindly, because He wants so much to welcome you into His Kingdom. Judgment will come another day; we’ve addressed it this ministry many times and will again, but for today, know this. God is patient with you, not wanting you to perish. His plans for you are good. You can trust Him. He would never hurt you. Neither would HIS church.
Some of His people…well…I can’t speak for all of them. They are all like me…sometimes well-meaning, but always imperfect.
