We believe and know that you are the Holy One of God. John 6:69
I believe that my marriage will last as long as I or my wife live. I believe that my sons will always be faithful to God, just the way they are being raised. I believe that I can trust my pastor to be continue to powerfully preach the word of God. I believe that interest rates will one day rise again. I believe that it will rain again this month. I believe I will have homegrown tomatoes on my vines before the summer is out. I believe that someone (wish it were me) will walk along the beach today and be in awe of what God has created.
I believe all these things, and so many more, but as I look again over the list, I can't really say I KNOW any of them. They aren't fact in my mind. They probably will happen, a few of them I am willing to stake my life on, but I cannot guarantee them.
Here's what I know: I know that Christ died on the cross. I know that God accepts His death as payment for my debt of sin. I know that Jesus rose again and that He sits at the right hand of the Father interceding on my behalf. I know that He is coming again to take me to my eternal home where I will share in His glory. I know that He has plans for me that I know nothing about; plans to prosper me and not to harm me. I know that He is the all sufficient, all knowing, everlasting Lord of my life!
Have you moved from believing in Jesus to KNOWING Him as Lord? Take that step today! Don't do anything else until you tell Him you believe who He is........and that most importantly, you KNOW who He is!
