As a father has compassion on his children, so the LORD has compassion on those who fear Him;
Psalm 103:13 NIV
"Daddy, Daddy, Daddy!"
"Wh..Wh...What?", waking up from a sound sleep.
"Daddy, I fell out of bed!"
"Okay, son, let me tuck you back in to bed."
"Dear God, please help my son to sleep soundly tonight and watch over him as he does. In Jesus name, Amen."
"Thank you Daddy."
"You're welcome, son."
I love being a Dad! The above incident happened years ago, but it's still fresh on my mind. My son fell out of bed! He must have been sleeping soundly, as I was when he woke me up. I took him back to his bed, tucked him in, prayed for him, then headed back to my bed. As I exited his door, I heard that sweet voice, half asleep, say "Thank you Daddy!". It was worth it all; waking up, getting out of bed, and not being able to go immediately back to sleep. I love being a Dad!
God loves being a Dad too! Thankfully, He never sleeps or slumbers. He is always ready to assist you day or night. In fact, He wants to...He really does. He loves you, more than you could ever imagine. He loves being your Heavenly Father! He rejoices in you!
I don't know about you, but I find great comfort in that today!
Thank you Daddy!
