I may not see in front of me, But I can see for miles around when I look over my shoulder, and Lord, it`s clear. You`ve brought me here, So faithful every step of the way. What can I do but follow you, For You are the Way, the Truth, the Life, And You`ve promised never to leave me, My Savior, my friend, From beginning to end.

I Am Found In You by Steven Curtis Chapman
Awkward, Part 4
By: Ron Edmondson Thursday, January 19, 2006
If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. Romans 12:18 NIV

When you are trying to heal an awkward relationship, you should evaluate your expectations. You will not be able to solve every relationship problem. Jesus couldn’t. How could you and I be expected to?

You can say you are sorry. You can ask forgiveness, but some people are not going to accept it. Don’t expect everyone to react to life the way you do. Your job is to do what God requires of you and not worry about the other person’s response.

I know so many people who have struggled for years with a broken relationship, yet they’ve done everything they know how to do to make things right. Some relationships will never heal. Your job is to do your part to make them right and leave the rest to God.

Evaluate what you are expecting from other people. God may allow healing to come to an awkward relationship, but sometimes God allows a person’s heart to remain hard towards you. Do all you can do, but don’t expect others to always do likewise.
