"You will not have to fight this battle. Take up your positions; stand firm and see the deliverance the Lord will give you, O Judah and Jerusalem. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Go out and face them tomorrow, and the Lord will be with you." 2 Chronicles 20:17 NIV
Do you sometimes need just a little bit of encouragement?
You know the right thing to do; you know what you should do; you know that everything will be okay, but it just seems to difficult to even think about right now. Intellectually you know that God is working all things for your good. You're read up on all the great Bible history...the many times that God delivered His people from their trials. You know that God is fully in control and has your best interest at heart. You know He has already planned victory for His children.
But, you also know the difficulty you face in life. You also know the bills that can't be paid. You know the relationships that seem beyond repair. You have heard from the doctors, and the prognosis was not good. The surgery has already been scheduled.
Sometimes it is just good for someone to remind you that you are not alone! God is still in the driver's seat! You no longer have to be afraid or discouraged! Your hope is in the Living God! God has never been wrong, and it is never His plan to allow His children to suffer beyond what they can bear. His strength is still perfect in our weakness. His grace is sufficient for all our needs. His ways are higher than our ways; His thoughts higher than our thoughts. He is still the Sovereign Lord of the Universe He created! You and I are still His most excellent creation!
Sometimes, many times, a word of encouragement is all you and I need to get jump started once again! Thank God for those gifted encourages He has prepared for such a task!
Go and do likewise for someone today!
