I may not see in front of me, But I can see for miles around when I look over my shoulder, and Lord, it`s clear. You`ve brought me here, So faithful every step of the way. What can I do but follow you, For You are the Way, the Truth, the Life, And You`ve promised never to leave me, My Savior, my friend, From beginning to end.

I Am Found In You by Steven Curtis Chapman
Abraham's Seed...
By: Ron Edmondson Friday, January 09, 1998
If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise. Galatians 3:29 NIV

If you are a Christian, one who has personally received Jesus Christ as your personal Saviour and the only way to get to Heaven, then you are also in Abraham's family. You are a descendent of the great man of faith!

So, you say? Are you just trying to fill space, Ron? What does this mean to me today? So you have introduced me to one of my kin, what does that do for me today? Is there some left overs from the reading of the will? Am I going to get a check in the mail soon?

Well, don't head to the bank just yet, but inheritance is a part of this story. You see my friend, if you are a Christian, then all the promises given to Abraham, are given to you. God told Abraham to go, and Abraham went. His faith was credited to him as righteousness. God promised to be with him whereever he went. He promised to protect him, to guide him, to give him an eternity that could not be matched by any accounts. Abraham knew that he was secure with God and that God would provide for all his needs.

And guess what? We have those same promises today! Can you get excited about that? Can you, knowing what you know now, begin to allow God to lead you, just like Abraham, because you know that no matter what happens around you, God is going to see you through it? Can you do that?

You know, now that I think about it, you do sort of resemble your grandaddy Abraham. Is it the twinkle in your eye, the smile on your face, the bounce in your step or the joy in your laugh? I'm not sure, but it sure looks good on you!

You're Grandaddy would be so proud of you!

Tell your friends about this ministry. Why not forward a copy of the email to those you think might benefit from reading a Mustard Seed? Some churches use it as a supplement to their discipleship program. Perhaps your church would be interested in doing this. All I ask is that credit be given to the ministry.
